Itinerary
Day 1: Zagora • Tamegroute • Mhamid • Erg Lihoudi
Start your adventure visiting the Quranic library and pottery of Tamegroute. Continue to Mhamid for lunch. Afternoon off-road drive to Erg Lihoudi dunes for your first night in the desert.
Day 2: Erg Lihoudi • Sacred Oasis • Erg Chigaga
Deep desert crossing. 60km of off-road driving through Hamada, tamarisk trees, and the Sacred Oasis. Arrive at the massive Erg Chigaga dunes for sunset and luxury camping.
Day 3: Erg Chigaga • Nomadic Life • Sandboarding
A full day dedicated to the desert. Visit a nomadic family to share tea and learn about their lifestyle. Try sandboarding on the high dunes or trek with camels. Evening music around the fire.
Day 4: Erg Chigaga • Lake Iriqui • Foum Zguid • Zagora
Drive across the dried salt lake of Iriqui (famous Paris-Dakar route). Search for fossils. Lunch in Foum Zguid before returning to Zagora via the asphalt road.
